Messing about with my iPhone, Shibuya looks great in sepia..

Softbank 921SH

The beat up old 912 has gone the way of the dodo, that is, I finally bit the bullet and went and got a new phone. The handset of the 921SH is kinda like Softbank's attempt at an iPhone, with a full face screen and neat little touch sensor at the bottom. The touch sensor isn't at all as responsive as the the iPod touch, but it does the job well enough, the tv works great, and it looks way cool!

Sleeping in cars..

It's not that uncommon in Tokyo to come across someone sleeping in their car, with their engine and aircon running to maintain a comfortable sleeping environment. By the same token, it's not that common for a total stranger to become so opportunistic as to enter into 'said sleeping stranger's' car for a humorous photo opportunity.

That's what happened here..

Rikko Kasso: Tokyo Undresssed

I have been a fan of Rikki Kasso's Tokyo Undressed photo blog for some time now. He is a Tokyo based photographer/artist/film maker that lives in Shibuya and takes pictures of (amongst other things) gorgeous japanese models in various states of undress. He somehow manages to capture a certain kind of sexual energy that emanates from Shibuya in a way that I really admire, and for that reason I recently ordered (and just received) his book "Tokyo Undressed". Find one you like>view twice>apply>get rejected because you are a foreigner.. >_< This was the first time in a long while I felt "excluded" because of race. Nothing you can do about it here though..

Looking for an apartment in Tokyo #3..

Shinsen, 1LDK: 160,000 per month

Feels like the story of Goldielocks and the three bears after a while, as this one was nice but just not quite in the right place..

Looking for an apartment in Tokyo #2..

Shinsen (Touwa-corp. building) 1LDK: 149,000 per month

This one was better budget-wise, and was in a great location but was just that little bit too run down..

Looking for an apartment in Tokyo #1..

It's just not an easy thing to do.

Udagawacho 2K: 172,000 per month

This one looked great, perfect location, brand new, but it turned out to be tiny (33 square metres).
